The Role
We are looking for a positive, and passionate professional team player to join our growing Woodward Productions team.
We seek somebody who embraces the daily challenge of producing live theatre and everything that comes along with that. We seek somebody who is highly collaborative and can work with the many stakeholders we engage with on a yearly basis.
The successful applicant will work across multiple projects at the same time including live experiences, developing new work and touring.
Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Executive Producer, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the daily operations of various productions to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
Preparing and monitoring detailed budgets, as well as creating comprehensive expense reports.
Serving as the primary point of contact between creative teams, both local and international.
Being budget focused through a creative lense
Coordinating efforts across multiple departments, including creative, finance, technical, casting, marketing, publicity, and ticketing, to ensure seamless collaboration.
Managing and applying for grants.
Partnering with Production Managers to oversee technical components such as scheduling, budgeting, contractor management, and logistics for set/props/costume/lighting/sound/video design and construction.
Assisting with the recruitment of creative associates, performers, musicians, production staff, and contractors to assemble top-tier teams.
Negotiating, managing and drafting contracts alongside leadership personnel.
Developing and maintaining production schedules, critical paths, and performance timelines.
Organising and facilitating production meetings while collaborating on marketing and promotional initiatives.
Coordinating show materials and archiving them on multiple databases.
Managing travel arrangements for staff including visa coordination.
Coordination and execution of auditions and casting processes as needed.
Performing additional duties as assigned by the Executive Producer or other leadership team members.
Successful Applicants Will Have:
2+ years of experience in the arts/entertainment industry ideally with experience in leadership and or/administration.
Excellent attention to detail while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills and comfortable taking feedback.
Working knowledge of local awards, including the Performers Collective Agreement.
Proven time management and delegation skills.
A strong reputation for being a collaborative and positive team member.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
Job Status: Full-time, with weekend and public holiday work required as needed. Office attendance 5 is expected.
Location: This role will be based at Woodward Productions' Brisbane office.
Start Date: January/February 2025.
