PRODUCTION ASSISTANT - PART TIME

The Role: Production Assistant
We are looking for a positive, passionate, and professional team player to join our Brisbane-based team. This is an entry-level position for someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow within the live theatre industry.
You will work closely with the Associate Producers, supporting daily operations across multiple projects, including live experiences, new work development, and touring. This role requires adaptability, collaboration, and a willingness to embrace the daily challenges of producing live theatre.
Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Associate Producers, you will:
Data Entry
Managing ticketing requests and refund requests
Manage travel bookings and visa coordination.
Facilitating ticketing needs
Venue liaising
Co-ordinating marketing assets with designers, producers and venues.
Assist with day-to-day production operations to ensure smooth workflows.
Contribute to expense tracking/reporting.
Support communication between local and international creative teams.
Assist with grant applications and reporting.
Help draft and manage contracts.
Assist in production meetings and contribute to marketing initiatives.
Organise auditions, casting processes, and show materials.
Provide administrative support as required by the Executive Producers and team.
About You (Successful Applicants Will Have)
A love for the arts and live entertainment
A knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to take and apply feedback.
Knowledge (or eagerness to learn) of industry awards and agreements such as the Performers Collective Agreement.
Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative and positive approach to teamwork.
Role Details
Salary: $25 an hour plus super, annual leave and sick pay
Status: 20 hours a week - permanent part time (occasional weekends/public holidays may be required)
Location: Brisbane office (on-site attendance required)
Start Date: ASAP
